It is always fun getting to tailor make an event for a client. In October 2013 Lumiere Acrobatics created a gorgeous themed choreography for the St George Bank Foundation Ball in Sydney. The Black tie ball was a charity event with all proceeds donated to children’s charities. Evoking childhood memories and with the theme of Carousel our unique entertainment featured beautiful dancers, a striking adagio couple and a spectacular aerial performance. The music and costumes were crafted specifically for the occasion by Lumiere Acrobatics.
This exclusive event was produced by Sandie Evans from Rag Doll with Michelle Prideaux our entertainment agent for the event. The event was hosted in one of Australia’s newest function rooms, the Kensington Ballroom at the Royal Randwick Racecourse and it was dressed with immaculate style and taste.
The performance was received very well by guests. Our combined aerial performance, dance and adagio show was approximately 10 minutes long, and was performed in the middle of a seated banquet room, which gave it an intimate feel.
The adagio acrobats displayed stunning strength and control with the overhead lifts and balances, the dancers fluid and engaging and the finale aerial performance wowed the guests with superb feats of strength and agility. All in all this was a very successful night by all accounts. We look forward to performing again in Sydney soon with our aerial performance and the adagio act.
